SALARY:
NJC Scale Points 26 – 28, starting at £30,984 pro rata

HOURS:
18.5 hours per week

This role is fixed term until March 2024, with the possibility of extension

The post requires the Service Manager to complete one evening shift per week as per the expectations of their role.

Touchstone has been awarded funding from NHS Rotherham CCG to run the upcoming Rotherham Safe Space in the early evening and at night. The service is likely to operate between the hours of 6pm-1am, 3 evenings a week with exact hours to be coproduced at a later date.   

The Rotherham Safe Space will offer a non-clinical, listening space with the aim of diverting people, who would be better supported elsewhere, away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and other crisis services in Rotherham.

The post holder will provide effective leadership and performance management of the Rotherham Safe Space team of staff.  They will work closely with the Lead Service Manager, with partners in other agencies, emergency service and other voluntary sector organisations.

We wish to recruit someone with personal experience of mental distress and substantial experience of supporting people in crisis, including working with people at risk of suicide and self harm and supporting people from BME and LGBT communities.

Flexible working is a requirement of this role covering daytime, evenings and some weekends.  This is to ensure effective delivery of the service, partnership work and team support.
