Service Overview
Our Crisis Support Service, known as “Here For You” in Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield, and “Rotherham Safe Space” in Rotherham, provides evening support to individuals who are struggling, or may have thoughts of self-harm or suicide. The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year In Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield, and 4 days a week in Rotherham.
The service offers a non-clinical, safe space with the aim of diverting individuals experiencing acute distress to more appropriate forms of support, away from A&E. The support we offer is in the form of:
- A welcoming Social Space for those looking for a distraction from thoughts and feelings, and feel up to being around other people.
- 1-to-1 Support in person at one of our safe spaces for those with something specific on their mind that evening to discuss with one of our support workers.
To support our demanding service, we are looking for experienced bank Crisis Support Workers and Team Leaders who are passionate about increasing access to Crisis Care for all and are able to work flexibly in the evenings where our core team need additional capacity to operate.
Shifts run in the evening and at night usually between the hours of 5pm-1am.
Available Roles
Kirklees – Funding is currently fixed until March 2025 in line with current contracts.
Wakefield – Funding is currently fixed until March 2025 in line with current contracts.
Leeds – Funding is currently fixed until September 2024 in line with current contracts.
Rotherham – Funding is currently fixed until June 2024 in line with current contracts.
Bank Team Leader
NJC Scale Point 23 – £32,076 pa/pro rata (£16.63 per hour)
Plus, an additional unsociable hours payment of £2.00 per hour from 9.00pm – 2.00am

Our Kirklees and Rotherham services support people aged 18+ and our Leeds and Wakefield services support people aged 16+.
Roles are available across all sites, to apply – please state on your application form which site/s you would like to be considered for.
