The Kirklees Autism Partnership Board have asked Touchstone ASK4Advocacy Service to support the development of a reference group for autistic adults.
The purpose of the reference group is to enable autistic adults to have a voice in developing and improving services and to raise issues that affect their lives.
This website aims to provide information about local Kirklees services, events and meetings and an opportunity for autistic adults to engage with the people who organise and run them.
It is a new site and we want your help in developing it and making it accessible for autistic adults. If you have any comments about the site or the Forum please contact – Kirklees Autism Strategy and Partnership Board https://www.kirklees.gov.uk/beta/adult-social-care-providers/autism-partnership-board.aspx
Kirklees Autism Partnership Board, working with Touchstone Advocacy, would like to develop ways in which autistic people, parents and carers can be involved and have a say in setting the partnership boards priorities for the future autism provision in Kirklees.
The Autism Partnership Board is currently made up of officers from Kirklees Council, Job Centre Plus, health professionals and local autism support groups, but we would really like to include people with autism, parents and carers, so that we can find out what is important to autistic people and really make a difference to people’s lives.
