As part of our work in Community Development work, we are a partner in two Active Travel projects.

Walk it Ride it

We currently supply two weekly walking groups as part of the Walk it, Ride it Project. The groups are for anyone that wants to get out walking and wants to learn some new skills and meet new people. We look at building confidence and fitness through walks in nature and classroom sessions, where we look at building skills to develop into an independent hiker.

This project is funded by the Department for Transport and is running in partnership with Leeds City Council. Please read more here: Walk It. Ride It.

Active Travel hub for East Leeds

We will also soon be setting up a brand-new Active Travel hub for East Leeds in partnership with Leeds Bike Mill. Watch this space for more news soon.

How do Referrals Work

I’m Joe and I’ve been facilitating walking groups for around 5 years. I have a passion for walking and spending time in nature.

At Touchstone, we have a new free walking group in East Leeds. We will be exploring the natural spaces around Burmantofts, Harehills, Richmond Hill and further afield.

If you live in the area, come and join us!
