As part of our work in Community Development work, we are a partner in two Active Travel projects.
Walk it Ride it
We currently supply two weekly walking groups as part of the Walk it, Ride it Project. The groups are for anyone that wants to get out walking and wants to learn some new skills and meet new people. We look at building confidence and fitness through walks in nature and classroom sessions, where we look at building skills to develop into an independent hiker.
This project is funded by the Department for Transport and is running in partnership with Leeds City Council. Please read more here: Walk It. Ride It.
Active Travel hub for East Leeds
The new hub is a place to learn and enquire about all things cycling, walking and wheeling in and around the city. We are working on this project in partnership with Leeds Bike Mill. We run:
- Monthly weekend drop-in sessions on the first Saturday of the month, at Leeds Bike Mill, 37 Mabgate Green, Leeds, LS9 7DS
- Several curated countryside walks 5-10 mile routes running throughout 2025, running on a Friday or Saturday once per month. These routes are accessible via public transport. Dates for these walks are: 30th May, 6th June, 12th July, 9th August, 19th September, 18th October, 15th November, 12th December.
