As part of our work in Community Development work, we are a partner in Leeds Active Travel projects. We run walking groups and other outdoor activities open to people living in Leeds!
Walk it, Ride itÂ
We currently run weekly walking groups as part of the Walk it, Ride it Project. The groups are for anyone that wants to get out walking, learn some new skills and meet new people. We look at building confidence and fitness through walks in nature and run classroom sessions, where we help you build skills to develop into an independent hiker. This project is funded by the Department for Transport and is running in partnership with Leeds City Council.
- We run weekly walking groups on Thursday afternoons, starting from the bus station in Leeds City Centre.
- The Countryside Hiking group is due to start up again (around May 2026) if you are interested in 5-10 miles hikes in beautiful countryside then get in touch. The hikes are daytrips from Leeds mostly accessing the countryside by train. This group is for people living in East Leeds LS7, LS8 & LS9.
