In 2017 we look forward to building partnerships with local organisations ‘St Gemma’s Hospice’ and ‘Leeds involving people’.
Together we are hoping to under-stand why elderly Sikhs aren’t accessing their services. We hope to involve you and your families to take part in some research so that local services can be tailored to benefit your needs.
Taking part in this research will help ensure that effective support is available to everyone in the Sikh community if they are faced with life threatening/terminal illnesses in the future, giving support to families when they need it the most.
Ways you can help:
- Do the St Gemma’s survey
- Be on the Steering Group which will help develop the best model of service for the Sikh and other communities. If you have two to three hours of time per month starting from January 2017, we would love to hear from you. Support and training to be an effective steering group member will be provided.
