Back in November 2015 staff and volunteers at Touchstone’s Kirklees Advocacy Service began supporting the service user reps of the Kirklees Mental Health Partnership Board to publish a survey on creating a new mental health forum.
A few weeks on and here we are…
Meeting of Minds (or MoM for short) has been created out of a series of meetings and conversations with our service user planning group and we are now up and running and ready to launch.
This is an entirely co-produced project with our planning group creating the format, name and terms of reference for the forum.
Take a look at our terms of reference here… they’re designed to be simple and clear and should tell you everything you need to know about MoM.
…and we’ve got a facebook page too!      https://www.facebook.com/momkirklees
Thanks to the support of the SWYPFT teams at Pathways and Recovery College, we will be holding our launch event at Pathways in Mirfield on Tuesday 17th May 2016 – timed to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week 2016, who’s theme this year is ‘relationships’.
We are currently making plans with statutory and voluntary sector mental health partners to make sure that it’s an amazing launch.
