Welcome to Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service Coproduction Network!  These pages will guide you through everything you need to know to get started with us.

Who are we?

We are a group of people working to improve Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service for everyone in the city. We welcome anyone with an interest in making positive changes to the mental health of the people of Leeds. Many of us have experience of using, needing, or working for mental health services, or supporting others with their mental health.

The Network doesn’t meet as one group on a regular basis. Rather, Network members are involved in different coproduction projects depending on their interests, skills and availability.

What is coproduction?

“Co-production is not just a word, it’s not just a concept. It is a meeting of minds coming together to find a shared solution. In practice, it involves people who use services being consulted, included and working together from the start to the end of any project that affects them.”  – Think Local, Act Personal

LMWS Coproduction Network sees the people who provide services, and those who use them, as collaborators in the way those services are designed and delivered, and values many different types of expertise. We work with those who are “experts by experience” and believe that they should have an equal part in shaping the service.
