Touchstone and Dosti Trustees are delighted to announce that following several months of conversations about the future of services for BAME people in Leeds, they have agreed to merge from 1st April 2016.
Shinde Dahri, Chair of the Dosti Trustee Board, said “I am really happy that the work of Dosti to support Asian women with mental ill-health will continue and develop as a result of our merger with Touchstone”.
Dosti currenly delivers day services and support to South Asian women experiencing mental health problems by running 3 Drop-ins per week across Leeds. Whilst Touchstone works with all diverse communities to improve mental health and wellbeing across wider West Yorkshire.
By working together, both charities hope to enable ‘Dosti’ to be a sustainable city-wide service that continually improves to meet the ongoing mental health and wellbeing needs of South Asian women in Leeds
