There are loads of apps out there aimed at promoting wellbeing and good mental health. Here are 6 free apps that we have come across at Touchstone IAPT to get you started.

Catch it: Allows you to record your mood, the situation you were in, your thoughts and then how you could think about it differently. You can look back on your diary entries.

CBT Thought Diary: Allows you to add the situation, your emotion, the negative thought and the thinking style then your challenge and an alternative thought. You can look back at your diary entries.

Companion: Includes breathing exercises, relaxation tracks including progressive muscle relaxation and a thought diary for anxiety with space to add a more compassionate, realistic or constructive thought.

 
Mindfulness: Timed mindfulness meditations starting with just 3 minutes.

 
Oak: Includes a loving kindness meditation, mindfulness meditation, breathing techniques and sleep sounds. This app also tracks your progress.

 
WorryTime: Allows you to add your worries throughout the day and set a specific worry time to return to them.
