October is Black History Month – Let’s Celebrate!
Join us on a coach trip to Wilberforce House in Hull on Wednesday 18th October 2017
Who was William Wilberforce?
William Wilberforce (1759 – 1833) was a politician who campaigned to end the slave trade and lived to see the abolition of slavery in 1807 and the freeing of all slaves in 1833 in what was then the British Empire.
There are also many more interesting things to do and see in Hull which is the 2017 UK City of Culture.
The museum shows ‘a shameful history well displayed’.
