This is our FIRST blog post, WOW! It genuinely feels a pleasure to be able to talk about what we are, what we do and who we are here to help. The Café opened late last year (October 2016) and has slowly built up a head of steam, with the number of visitors we have received so far increasing slowly and surely, being more busy as we go. We are based at the Lincoln Green Community Centre (LS9 7JB), open Saturday to Monday 6 to 12pm (midnight). The basic description of what we do is simple… we are here to help you if you are in a crisis… What can a crisis mean? Are you are finding it hard to cope with life currently, are struggling with your mental health, find yourself isolated or lonely, or are in a period of distress and feel like you cannot cope – we do not judge, and are here to help. Please give us a call.
OUR PROFESSIONAL REFERRAL LINE IS: 07760 173505 OUR SELF REFERRAL LIFE IS: 07760 173476 (both lines open 6 to 12pm Sat to Mon)
We offer a genuinely safe place – with support workers and trained therapists, offering the following services: A non-judgemental social place to relax in, hot food and hot/cold drinks on tap (no charge), 1 to 1 therapeutic support sessions (up to an hour – from a person centred standpoint), practical support – with a focus on social crisis, information and signposting to others helpful services in Leeds, as well as having board games, art books, music and even a pool table that can be used by anyone. Our workers – Kim, Simon, Matt, Amareen, Wendy, Rossan and Christian are to welcome you with a friendly smile …
*PLEASE NOTE – ON YOUR FIRST VISIT TO THE WELL-BEAN CAFÉ – WE WILL PROVIDE A FREE TAXI (TO AND FROM) THE SERVICE, TO TAKE AWAY THE WORRY OF GETTING TO US FOR THE FIRST TIME*
