The Champions Fund is here!
Lets change the way Leeds thinks about mental health.
What is the Champions Fund?
The fund is available for people with lived experience of mental health problems to run their own anti-stigma activities.
What types of activities could I run?
You can run any sort of anti-stigma activity, as long it includes social contact (i.e. it should conversations
that take place between people who have lived experience of mental health problems and those
who may not.) Here are some ideas:
- Run your own anti-stigma campaign in your workplace, local community centre, train or bus station, shopping
centre, or local school - Use poetry, theatre, or spoken word to highlight anti-stigma – or put on another type of creative even
- Have a tea and talk session or a coffee morning with your colleagues, neighbours or a general public drop-in
- Set up a stall in a public space and start conversations with people, encouraging them to sign the Time to Change anti-stigma pledge.
How much can I apply for?
You can get up to £500 to cover the cost of running of an event.
When can I apply?
Applications are now open. The deadline for applications is 30th November 2017.
