As part of their International Women’s Day 2018 celebrations Leeds Beckett University will be hosting the Aurora + 1 event on 7 March.
Aurora + 1 has been designed to give women working at the university an opportunity to hear from expert speakers, panel members and subject matter leaders to help them develop their leadership knowledge and skills and to enable them to share ideas, challenges and successes.
Touchstone’s Chief Executive Alison Lowe will speak to attendees on the subject of “Leadership For Life” – other speakers include Sally Bogg (Leeds Beckett University), Aline Hayes (Lloyds Banking Group) and Samantha Pugh (University of Leeds).
The panel session will provide delegates with the opportunity to ask speakers about their career experiences, successes and challenges and gain a greater insight into what it means to be a woman in a leadership role.
Every woman at Leeds Beckett that has attended the Aurora Leadership Programme has been invited to bring along a female colleague who they feel would benefit from exposure to strategic and leadership exchanges and the opportunity to network with senior colleagues.
This event will provide an afternoon of inspiring discussion with women at the forefront of leadership.
