THE WELL-BEAN CRISIS CAFÉ – HOPE IN A CRISIS BLOG: FEBRUARY 2019 – THE WELL-BEAN CRISIS CAFÉ IS NOW OPEN TWO EXTRA NIGHTS @ TOUCHSTONE HOUSE IN BEESTON

The Well-Bean Café (WBC) is now open a further two nights in the south of Leeds at Touchstone House, Beeston on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Since November 2016, we have been open at Lincoln Green Community Centre – supporting many people in mental health crisis across Leeds, having 3000 plus overall visits to the service up to now. Originally starting as a pilot project, due to the success of the WBC – it was extended beyond its 20 month funding (originally funded to June 2018) to June 2019. Now to offer a more city wide approach to crisis support, the café is opening in the south of Leeds to make the service accessible to more people in mental health crisis. We would also like to welcome new team members Karen, who will be managing the service at Touchstone House, as well as Fiona who is the LSLCS worker at Lincoln Green on Saturdays and Sundays. Below is all the information of how to access the service at either site:
SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND MONDAY 6PM TO 12AM @ LINCOLN GREEN COMMUNITY CENTRE, CROMWELL MOUNT, LS9 7ST.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY 6PM TO 12AM @ TOUCHSTONE HOUSE, 2-4 MIDDLETON CRESCENT, BEESTON, LS11 6JU.

We can also take on the door referrals at either service in the same time period. 
If you are in mental health crisis, or are feeling socially isolated in the Leeds area and feel like you have no support – please call us on the above numbers or come and refer in person. We  provide social, emotional and/or practical support while also providing a safe space to get away from things for a period of time. We also provide fresh cooked food (with vegetarian and vegan options) as well as hot or cold drinks on tap. We offer a genuinely safe place – with caring staff/support workers, offering the following services: A non-judgemental social place to relax in, freshly cooked food with hot/cold drinks on tap (no charge), 1 to 1 therapeutic support sessions (up to an hour – from a person centred standpoint), practical support – with a focus on social crisis, information and signposting to others helpful services in Leeds, as well as having board games, art books, music and even a pool table that can be used by anyone.
