Come along to:

  • Find out more about the wide range of mental health support available across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
  • Chat to friendly people from local services, who can offer you information, help, and advice.
  • Learn about the different kinds of action – big and small – you can take to improve your mental health and wellbeing.

Everyone is welcome to come along and drop in at any time! The event is free and open to all members of the public and health and social care colleagues. Whether you’re looking for support, curious about services, or just want to connect with people who care, we would love to see you there.

About Mental Health Awareness Week 2026

Mental Health Awareness Week takes place every year in May. Each year, we focus on a different theme that helps us think about how we can raise awareness, and take care, of our mental health. The theme of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is ‘Action‘.

This theme encourages us all to take action to help us feel more hopeful and less powerless. Big or small, there are lots of actions we can take to support our mental health – whether that be joining a new hobby group, challenging stigma when we encounter it, or reaching out for support when we are having a hard time. Each action we take can have a big impact our health and wellbeing – and when we come together, we can make a huge difference.

Our marketplace is designed to help communities from across Leeds and West Yorkshire find the right support for them and take steps to improve their wellbeing. The event will bring together a wide range of local services, all in one place, that can support us to take different kinds of action for our mental health.
