This is my story. I came to know about Touchstone Housing through a friend. My tenancy in the place where I was living was ending and this caused me a lot of stress and sleepless nights. Then this friend of mine introduced me to Touchstone and she gave me their number.
I rang them and they just took me in, this was like a light shining into darkness. I met with this lovely lady who said she was going to be my support worker, by the name of Manjit. This was the icing on the cake because I didn’t know how the system worked but she has been my right hand since that time. She taught me how to bid for a council house and after several weeks I was offered a house. I was so happy but without Touchstone I couldn’t move a step. There was a lot of paperwork to do and my support worker was always there to help me.
As of now I can face anything, I now sort out things for myself from what I have seen my support worker do. Through this support my confidence has improved. Touchstone you really are a stone one can hold on to when one is ready for help. You have given me my life back. All I can say is thank you Touchstone, you have really touched my life.
